ABOUT OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment which considers the person as a whole and uses hands-on techniques to address injuries, pain and loss of function.

The principles of Osteopathy are that the body has mechanisms of self-healing which can be encouraged with treatment and that the function and the structure of not only the whole body, but the whole person are related to these.

There is a wide variety in the approaches used by Osteopaths but we are all bound by these concepts as well as our use of touch and encouragement of movement whether through the techniques we use or the advice we give.

All Osteopaths are statutorily registered with, and regulated by the General Osteopathic Council

Osteopaths are NHS England Allied Health Professionals
